Hooray – British Summer Time has arrived!!!!

It is so nice that BST has finally arrived. I really don’t mind losing an hour, because the lighter nights are soooo worth it!

Now all we need is the sunshine!

Where does it come from, and where does it all go??

Stuff! Stuff! Stuff!

I cannot believe just how much ‘stuff’ my hubbie & I have accumalated since moving into our home 2 1/2 years ago!

Seriously – where does everything come from!  I have no where near enough storage, but then again, do i really need all this stuff?  What ever possesed me to buy that really gross blue jumper, or what made someone buy me a ceramic chicken for easter – seriously – where did they think I was going to put it? As is it, I’ve put it with all the other useless items, in the garage, ‘just in case’ I need them one day – it’s insane!!!

I’m sitting in a study, surrounded by books hat I never read, sat next to a wardrobe full of clothes that don’t even fit me, and must have the biggest collection of ‘just in case’ items in the whole of the UK!!!

I didn’t think I was a hoarder – but maybe I am!   I must do something about it.

My weight-loss journey so far…

So if you’ve already read my other blogs, you’ll know that I’m trying to lose weight to help to concieve a baby! How exciting!

So i’m now 218lbs, and have already lost 7lb. I really need to reach about 170lb asap!

I’m calorie counting, as i’ve tried so many so called ‘diets’, and none of them work. I now figure that it’s scientific, and Calorie Counting has to be the way!

I’m hoping to do some exercise to help me, but i’m just so lazy! I know, I know, it’s for the best reason in the world – a child – so I’m really trying so hard!

Trying to Concieve (TTC) – bringing you up to date…

I guess I should have started this blog 8 months ago….that’s when my husband & I returned from honeymoon and started out ‘TTC’ journey! 8 months on, and we’re still trying! As I want to bring everyone up to date, apologies, but this blog may be fairly long!It’s difficult to know what to expect until you actually start to try. You have no idea how long it’s going to take, or any of the weird and wonderful things you’ll try along the way!It all started back in July 2007 when I came off the pill – I was quite lucky and had my next AF (period) only 8 weeks later, which is apparently fairly good going. The only things I noticed were poor skin and greasy hair – not a good start to our journey!I was dubious about trying straight away, as some doctors advise to wait for a couple of ‘cycles’ first, but we didn’t want to wait, so got straight to it! I really did think I was pregnant in September 2007, as I felt so sick – I nearly threw-up in the changing rooms in Dotty P’s – not knowing if I should run out the store, try to vomit quietly, or even if I should tell anyone if I did! As it went, I didn’t actually throw-up, and I wasn’t pregnant.

This led to a little frustration, and caused me to investigate further options. I found a website called ‘Fertility Friend‘ which had so much information, including loads about ‘charting’. Charting was a new concept for us, and meant that I had to take my temperature every morning, and record it on the website – believe me, it’s amazing how much you can learn about your own body, just by ‘charting’!

Further investigation led me to a forum which helped with all my other questions – seriously, if you have any questions at all regarding TTC then visit this forum – there will be someone there who can give you an answer. It’s also a great support network, as everyone knows what you are going through – and it givesyou a place to talk about it when you don’t want anyone you know knowing your business!!!

In January 2008, still TTC, I decided to try ‘Agnus Castus’ – this is meant to be a ‘wonder herb’ that helps in getting pregnant – needless to say it didn’t help – it just gave me the most severe constipation ever!!

I have now started to lose weight, as I could do with losing a few pounds (not loads, just a few – honest!). You need to be ‘trying’ for 12 months before you go to the doctors for help, and I know that if I go now, they’ll tell me to lose weight first – so i’m not going to give them that option! (I think I’ll Blog about my Weight Loss seperately!).

The other thing we’ve tried this month is…..don’t laugh…..’Pre-Seed’. This is a ’sperm’ friendly lubricate that can help with conception!

We are now on the ‘2-week-wait’ to find out if we’ve concieved this month…..fingers crossed….

The sun is shining!!!

Hooray, the sun is finally shining, and I hope spring is on it’s way. I like winter, especially when it snows, but the grey days seem to last forever, and I much prefer Spring & Summer (if you can call summer ’summer’ in the UK!).

I’m working from home today, so travian is still going well! I have loads of tidying/cleaning to do, but I’m happy just sitting at my PC writing my new blog!!!

I’ve thought about it so many times, but didn’t really think I had that much to say!  But maybe I do!
